Servotech Renewable Power System, a leading player in India’s renewable energy space, has bagged a 1.2 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project from Northern Railway’s Moradabad Division, another milestone in its growth journey. It’s not just an operational win but also a strategic boost to the company’s public sector partnerships and its position in India’s clean energy transition.
Under this contract, Servotech will handle end-to-end execution of rooftop solar PV systems, design to commission across multiple sites in Moradabad Division. The project directly supports Indian Railways’ sustainability agenda as the national transporter has set a target to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2030.
Commenting on the achievement, Sarika Bhatia, director said the project further proves Servotech’s credibility and execution capabilities. She added that the company has already executed similar projects in Northwest, Northeast, East Coast and Northern railway zones and Indian Railways continues to trust Servotech’s expertise. This repeated business is a testament to the brand’s ability to deliver high performance renewable energy solutions consistently.
From an investor perspective, though the 1.2 MW project may not have a significant impact on topline revenue due to its size, its strategic importance is huge. It adds to Servotech’s order book and visibility and improves chances of bigger projects in future and reinforces its position in public sector space. For investors it means recurring business, lower counterparty risk and stronger positioning for government linked tenders and contracts in the coming years.
Another important aspect of this development is Servotech’s dual focus: while it is executing decentralized rooftop solar projects to support India’s renewable energy targets, it is also building presence in EV charging infrastructure. By offering wide range of AC and DC chargers for domestic and commercial applications, the company is aligning itself with India’s twin transitions in clean energy generation and green mobility. This hybrid positioning can be a long term differentiator. So overall the contract should be seen more as a credibility builder and not a revenue driver. Servotech Renewable partnership with Indian Railways adds to the company’s brand and opens up bigger opportunities in future.
