Servotech Enters Electric Three-Wheeler Segment with Lithium-Ion Battery & Charger Portfolio

In a strategic move reinforcing its ambition to become a comprehensive clean energy solutions provider, Servotech Renewable Power System has announced its entry into India’s rapidly expanding electric three-wheeler (E-3W) market. The announcement was made at the company’s annual flagship event, SUNKALP, marking Servotech’s expansion beyond EV charging and solar solutions into lithium-ion energy storage for micro-mobility.

Strategic Focus on a High-Growth Mobility Segment

India’s electric three-wheeler market has emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments within the country’s EV ecosystem. Growth is being driven by rising demand for last-mile connectivity, rapid urbanisation, increasing e-commerce logistics, and supportive government policies. Servotech’s entry places the company at the intersection of clean mobility, distributed energy storage, and power electronics—domains where it already has strong technical and operational expertise.

Leveraging over two decades of experience in electronics and energy systems, Servotech aims to establish a scalable and focused presence in micro-mobility, a segment increasingly recognised as commercially viable and volume-driven by investors and industry stakeholders.

Product Launches Tailored for the E-3W Ecosystem

As part of this expansion, Servotech unveiled two dedicated products designed specifically for electric three-wheelers:

SULTAN Lithium-Ion Battery: Engineered for E-rickshaws, E-autos, and E-cargo vehicles, the SULTAN battery is available in 51.2V/105Ah and 64V/105Ah variants. It uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry, offering enhanced safety, longer cycle life, reduced weight, and improved payload capacity—critical parameters for commercial mobility applications.

Zest Battery Charger: Complementing the battery offering, the Zest charger is purpose-built for electric three-wheelers. It focuses on faster charging, battery protection, and improved vehicle uptime, catering to the needs of OEMs, dealers, and distributors seeking reliable and lithium-compatible charging solutions.

Together, SULTAN and Zest reflect Servotech’s strategy of offering integrated energy solutions rather than standalone components, a model increasingly preferred by fleet operators and OEMs for operational efficiency and reliability.

Strengthening Solar Credentials with Voltie Inverter

In addition to its micro-mobility push, Servotech also introduced Voltie, a newly launched 2 kW on-grid solar inverter, at the SUNKALP event. Designed for residential and small commercial applications, Voltie supports seamless grid integration and reinforces the company’s ongoing commitment to solar energy solutions.

This dual-track approach—expanding into EV lithium-ion solutions while strengthening its solar portfolio—highlights Servotech’s broader vision of delivering end-to-end clean energy ecosystems encompassing mobility, charging infrastructure, and distributed power generation.

Management Perspective and Roadmap

Commenting on the expansion, Managing Director Raman Bhatia stated that entering the electric three-wheeler segment is a natural progression in Servotech’s clean energy journey. He noted that while the company has initially launched two lithium-ion battery models and one dedicated E-3W charger, additional variants and configurations are planned in the future.

Management views the electric three-wheeler segment not only as a sustainability-driven opportunity but also as a means of economic empowerment for small transport entrepreneurs across India. Key focus areas going forward include innovation, scalability, and reliability, aligned with national priorities around EV adoption and energy transition.

Verdict

Servotech’s foray into lithium-ion batteries and chargers for electric three-wheelers diversifies its revenue streams and increases its exposure to a high-volume EV segment. Compared to passenger electric cars, three-wheelers offer faster adoption cycles, lower cost barriers, and immediate commercial viability, making them attractive from both operational and investment perspectives.

By integrating batteries, chargers, and solar products under one umbrella, Servotech strengthens its positioning as a vertically integrated clean energy player, potentially enhancing margins, customer retention, and long-term growth visibility.
