Servotech Renewable Power Systems has won a grid-connected solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project worth INR 16.31 crore from Railway Energy Management Company (REMCL)—a joint venture between RITES and the Ministry of Railways. The project will involve installing both ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems at the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) facility in Noida.
According to Servotech, the turnkey order covers the complete development cycle: design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of multiple solar power systems at the DFCCIL premises. The company will also be responsible for a decade-long operations and maintenance (O&M) period after the project becomes operational.
This award strengthens Servotech’s footprint in the railway and logistics infrastructure segment, an area where the company is increasingly focusing on renewable-energy deployment. By integrating solar solutions into high-demand freight operations, the initiative is expected to reduce energy costs and lessen reliance on conventional electricity sources.
Highlighting the strategic value of the order, the company noted that such projects underscore its end-to-end execution abilities and proven technical expertise in large-scale solar installations. Although the announcement did not specify total system capacity or commissioning timelines, Servotech said the project is aligned with national sustainability priorities.
Sarika Bhatia, Whole-Time Director, expressed pride in partnering with REMCL, calling the project an important contribution toward India’s decarbonisation efforts. DFCCIL’s freight corridors are considered key national logistics assets, and the introduction of renewable energy at these sites is expected to deliver tangible environmental and operational benefits.
REMCL’s primary objective is to accelerate renewable-energy adoption across the Indian Railways network. Through this project, Servotech aims to support India’s broader clean-energy ambitions by enabling on-grid solar deployment at major operational hubs.
Over the years, Servotech has expanded its clean-technology portfolio—including EV charging systems—while diversifying its EPC work across multiple government-affiliated clients. The company stated that long-term support and reliable execution will be central to delivering value under this latest contract.
